Happy Earth Day 2026!

Earth Day is a celebration here at HC – each planting choice, each design decision is considered; we create spaces that will evolve for generations to come. It is also a reminder that our landscapes are changing, often in ways that are subtle, but increasingly difficult to ignore. Warmer temperatures, shifting rainfall patterns and more frequent extreme conditions are all beginning to shape the way gardens grow and endure. As garden designers, we are part of this conversation. The choices we make, how we shape the land, materials we use and plants we select have a lasting impact.

As biophillic designers, our approach is rooted in the idea that every landscape should feel as though it belongs. This guides how we respond to the land, and strengthens meaningful connections between people and the natural world. From planting schemes that evolve through the seasons, to the use of natural materials and considered construction methods, our gardens are designed to grow more beautiful with time. We create spaces that support biodiversity, but also enhance wellbeing and a sense of connection.
